I'm Back...

Well..well..well..Its been four years since I've done anything on my blog..  Initially this was a test run...( a long.. test run) and now I have decided to be a bit more consistent with this thing they call a "Blog".

So what has happened within the four years.. hmmm.

The Good...... I've become officially divorced,(not that divorcing is good, but if the relationship is toxic you need to leave the situation, another topic to discuss in a later blog) a grandmother of 2 beautiful grandchildren, increased my travel business with more clientele and specialty credentials, traveling more...

The Bad... gained weight :-(, developed HBP,  and one of my children has developed a rare autoimmune disease (very hard to swallow).
But God is able to bring me through it all!!!

The last time I wrote.. "Obama" was running for President in which he won.  And now..President Obama has won another term.  Congratulations!! It was nice once again to see people come out and vote. This time the lines were very long.  I stayed on line for 2 hrs. to cast my vote and I did. People are still desiring change and improvements in their lives.  And they believe President Obama can give them that.  He does have  a hard road a head though.. Balancing the economy, etc. Some People don't realize that President Obama did what he stated  he will do,  even with all the constraints and oppositions by the House, but he did it. He's saved the car industry, revamped healthcare, has begun to bring our soldiers back home, confronted  waste and abuse by government contractors to hold them accountable, helped many homeowners  with programs to save their homes, and the list goes on.  This has been a tough race with his rivals  Romney and Ryan.  Its been tough due to all of the back lashing, and bashing involved. .  Within the four years  to the present, Obama's  presidency has allowed me to see all this  racism and division.  It's very sad, but this is the world we live in.
Romney needs to take his loss in stride... Still trying to find an excuse for his loss. his latest comment.. blaming  Obama's win on offering gifts.  Still putting his foot in his mouth.  This is definitely not who we want for president.  His  own Republican party is distancing themselves from him.  Let it go Romney!!  You lost because you could not show America what your plans were and you kept putting your own foot in your mouth!!  Your focus was only on the rich, not the American people , which includes the rich and the poor, middle class, all ethnic groups.  This is the America of today.

Then you have "Super Storm Sandy", what a storm!!  People have lost their homes, life, and so much more.  To date.. thousands  are still without power.  Unacceptable, I say!!.  The unfortunate thing  is.... the utility companies  still want their money. How dare you!!!   Their still charging  people that are without power!!.. Shame on you utility companies!!!
I am thankful that me and my family have not had to experience great loss.  Just some flickering lights (transformer sparking 2 doors away). If the winds continued I would have been one without power. Family and friends of mines were hit harder.  Whereas,  I have opened my home to them if they needed somewhere warm to stay. I wish I can do more.. but I am so limited.. Lord help me to do better physically, and financially to help people.
This storm is a wake up call for everyone!! The bible states"Lay your treasures in heaven where moth nor rust will destroy it" (Mathew 6:20).  We live in a materialistic society. We love our possessions. I like nice things too. We are human. But whats most important is our lives.  "Things" can always be replaced.  Our lives can not.

My prayers are with all the families that has experienced great loss..

May God comfort you in this time of grief and loss...

With that said...  I will end here....

Until we meet again...
